silence is violence, time its thorn
hope another transient ghost to mourn
pounding clocks of flesh, ticking, fading
bells ringing jaded, turning to stone

fueled by melancholy, sleepless, deprived
resigned slavery to the inertia that binds
dreading the unspoken, cyst of the mind
to grow hardened, painless, rusting inside

eyes turned inwards, force-fed the tragic sight
of decaying innards, meet silent apathy and blight

frothing denial brewing within
kindness and empathy corrupted by need
vile, livid mouths spew the tragic seethe
twisted morphing from angels into succubi

soulless is the vortex of kinship and pain
voiding all senses, hooks and cages in their stead
contorting reality, wrecked bodies marching on
nemesis-wed, in sickness and health
